Greetings from the ASTRA: Knights of Veda Game Design Team
Many users have been curious about why certain numbers of Crown of Victory are given in Arena. It seems to vary from user to user, so we would like to take a minute to explain the Arena system of ASTRA: Knights of Veda.
All Masters of the Book have a hidden Skill Rating in Arena. This Skill Rating is used to match players together.
If you win a match, your Skill Rating increases, if you lose a match, your Skill Rating decreases.
For a little more explanation:
If you win against a Master of the Book with a higher Skill Rating than your original Skill Rating, you gain more Skill Rating points.
If you lose against a Master of the Book with a lower Skill Rating than your original Skill Rating, you will lose more points.
We believe that users in the higher “Skill Rating” range, who strive to maintain their Skill Rating despite the possibility of defeat, should receive appropriate rewards.
If we were to provide a uniform amount of Crown of Victory to all users, then those who purposefully stay lower in the Skill Ratings through purposeful defeats or Auto battles would be rewarded the same as those who give their all.
Therefore the Arena provides higher rewards through the Crown of Victory to those who maintain a higher Skill Rating.
Currently, the number of Crown of Victory provided upon a win ranges from 10, to a maximum of 34, depending on the Skill Rating range.
