Development Team’s Responses to Your August Update Comments and Questions

24.08.12

Hello, Masters of the Book. I am Kim Young-mo, the director of ASTRA: Knights of Veda.

In the beginning of August, we added Guild Territories to the game to serve as the foundation for expanding our Guild-related content, and the newly-introduced “Shattered Dimensional Rift” is the first step to this wave of new content.

We at the Development Team are constantly monitoring all your feedback and suggestions, including those about the “Shattered Dimensional Rift”, and would like to assure our Masters of the Book that we are reviewing them for implementation into the game.

Among the content introduced in this update, there was some feedback which we can immediately address and some that may take some time before implementation. We would like to address each one-by-one.

1. Decrease the amount of time spent progressing on existing content as newer ones are introduced.

The development team plans to introduce a 'Clearance' function to allow players to quickly complete content that may sometimes feel like 'homework' or is very tedious. This function will also be applied to some challenging content depending on the situation.

These improvements aim to let players enjoy the game more comfortably, allowing you to focus on the more challenging content. Here are the specific directions:

* Portrait of Thierry: We will shorten some sections when the boss on the 18th and 27th floors are cleared and allow immediate rewards for the shortened sections.

 - For example, if you have cleared up to the 19th floor, you can start from the 10th floor in the next round, and if you have cleared up to the 27th Floor, you can now proceed from the 19th Floor.

* Arena: An automatic rematching function will be added to make it easier to obtain the Crown of Victory Progress reward.

* Knights Mission: Previously completed missions will be marked as completed immediately to allow easier collection of rewards.

* Calydon Hideout: We plan to improve it so that you can receive gold rewards based on your highest Kill Count.

* Forgotten Mine: We plan to improve it so that you can receive rewards based on the quantity of the most acquired enhancement materials such as Calydon Hideout.

In addition, while we had planned to add higher difficulty levels for the above content in future updates, we will instead focus on providing a more challenging experience to minimize the fatigue that the Masters of the Book might feel.

We believe that these changes make the game a more enjoyable experience for everyone, please look forward to these changes being implemented into the game on the September, 12 Update maintenance.

In addition to the 'Clearance' feature, we also plan to add a function to automate the acceptance of the statues of the Goddess the “Veda's Return” when Full Auto Battle is enabled in Adventure Area, Sealed Prison, Veda's Nightmare and Tower of Trials content. This new feature will be quickly applied during the August 22 update.

2. The new Shattered Dimensional Rift event is too hard, and Guild Territory lacks content. Additionally, the Guild alarm and Chat alarm features are not working properly causing inconvenience.

Introduced during the 8/1 update, Guild Territories will be updated to include new main content such as Guild Conquest, Guild Treasure Chests. and Guild World Bosses. Current event content like Shattered Dimensional Rifts will continue to be accessible in this area.

Although there are still many areas needing improvement, we strive to make important Guild Notices more accessible and quickly fix the chat notification feature. We also plan to add and expand uses for the Guild Progress function.

As for the difficulty of the Shattered Dimensional Rift event, we initially developed the event with it being the most challenging content for players in a guild. We will be taking extended notes and will be analyzing the performance of our Masters of the Book in order to make more informed decisions for game balance for the next event. Additionally, we will improve the display of attribute information for each boss to make progress easier.

We will coordinate the application schedule internally with the development team and aim to implement these changes as quickly as possible.

3. Requests for new Knights of Veda of other attributes and positions, as well as a Practice Mode

We are planning to add DPS Knights with Blood, Earth, and Poison attributes. We are also planning to introduce on the October 2nd Update, the addition of a practice space that will allow you to test each Knight's performance.

As mentioned in the previous Director's Note, we plan to improve the Knights of Veda currently lagging behind other Knights in power. For lingering damage attributes like Poison, we plan to improve the overall attribute structure to make them more attractive to use.

4. It would be nice if the maximum amount of Radiance and Mystical Chromatics could be increased.

With the 8/8 update, the maximum number of these two currencies was increased from 9,999 to 999,999. We are also continuing to consider adding more ways to acquire these currencies.

5. Addressing problems like long loading screens, pressure to spend on Halos and El Cids, and adding new support characters for Special Supply Delivery Operation.

We will add new Knights of Veda to the Knight support system, which can be used in various events, as quickly as possible.
The frequency of loading screens is also a very important factor for enjoying a smooth gaming experience, so we will make every effort to reduce or eliminate them as much as technically possible.
We will also strive to design premium items more reasonably and consider diversifying the sources of materials.

The 8/22 update will include the DPS Blood attribute Knight of Veda, Gabi, who wields a Large Axe. The update will also bring the Ancient Golden City, the Fearsome Treasure Chest, the Weapon of Genesis, and Relic Engraving.

We promise to keep delivering engaging content and look forward to sharing more in the next Director's Note.

Thank you.
